Amboseli Lodge offers
a spectacular view of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. It is set
amongst lush tropical gardens and tranquil ponds; this lodge is a
veritable oasis in the dramatically arid surroundings of the
Amboseli National Park. Walking the lodge grounds guarantees close
encounters with numerous species of birds, velvet monkeys and
occasional baboons.
The highest possible standards of service together with "old world"
bungalows and more modern (but traditionally styled bedroom blocks)
at this main lodge provide a rustic ambience in the heartland of the
nomadic Maasai people.
The large lounge and feature fireplace provide the ideal ambience to
unwind from a long safari day, enjoy an evening drink, and share
memorable experience with fellow travelers from all around the
world.
A swimming pool set amongst acacia trees, with full view of the
mountain for those seeking an alternate way to relax.
The main restaurant, with a picturesque view of Mount Kilimanjaro,
serves a variety of international and local delicacies prepared by
well-trained chefs.
Every night the traditional Maasai dance show entertains the guests.
The Maasai have been known for their high jumping dance routine.
Every afternoon, resident anthropologists present an educational
lecture on the Maasai culture.
Private bush lunches, dinners, and a visit to the Maasai Manyattas
(housing) can be arranged.
