Larsens Tented Camp was opened in 1987, and is set in lush lawns on the bank of the Uaso Nyiro, a river in Samburu National Reserve. The Larsens Tented Camp is set within the savagely beautiful Samburu National Reserve in the northern frontier border of the Kenya's central region.

Located some 320 kilometers north of Nairobi, the camp rests on a choice site along the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River, offering you nothing short of luxury in the wilderness; champagne breakfasts, fireplace cocktails, riverfront dining......it simply enchants.

A Tranquil environment engulfs you the minute you enter Larsens with the river being the perfect stage for an endless pageant of wildlife - with elephants rolling and trumpeting in the background, The timid impala nervously drinking, baboons and velvet monkeys swinging through the canopy of trees. The only man made noise is that of the young Samburu flutist as he slowly makes his way along the river front. He unobtrusively doubles as a palm nut thrower when the monkeys become too bold.

The Camp is exceptionally eco-friendly, acutely aware of the pristine environment in which it lies. It can be easily accessed by either road or light aircrafts landing in the reserve.

Cancellation Policy
Reservations that are canceled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in numbers are subject to cancellation and no show charges.

Check in time at hotels is 1100hrs.
Early check in will be charged at extra night.
Late arrivals should be advised in advance to avoid auto cancellation of the reservation.
In case check in is delayed than the expected arrival date, the delay will be treated as no show.

Check out time is at 1000hrs.
Day room use can be arranged at extra fee and is applicable from 1000hrs to 1800hrs.
Room use after 1800hrs will be charged at full night rate.
