Situated on the edge of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Acacia Camp is located 100km from Narok town (260kms from Nairobi).

Acacia Camp is the only tented camp of its kind in the Maasai Mara, in that it caters to the need of a wide range of clientele, from the adventure seeker to corporate clients and even schools and other groups.

A stone throw away from the reserve’s Olelemutia Gate, and only 15k from Sekenani Gate, you’ll find Acacia Camp nestled on six acres of manicured ground sprinkled generously with Acacia trees and other floral that’s unique to this savannah country.

The camp fences the scenic Maguarra Hills and the stream that meanders by the bottom of the camp is particularly attractive feature, not only to the campers, but also to the game that drops by for a quenching drink

The camp is divided into two sections, one which boasts 34 permanent tents, each with twin beds and private porch. The other section is an open ground available for campers to pitch their tents.
There are three well-lit cooking areas where campers can prepare meals. Meals are also available on prior request and menus can be tailor made to suit various budgets.

With a clean, modern ablution blocks, boasting flush toilets and refreshing hot water showers plus 24 hours security, our guest’s comfort and peace of mind is guaranteed.

Excursions, meals and cultural programs can be arranged for educational groups, while corporate clients will find the serene surroundings of Acacia Camp an ideal gateway for retreats and conferences.

Game watching and game drives are also available by prior arrangement and add spice to variety to the Acacia Camp experience. Enquire

Offering you the opportunity to experience the migration away from the main tourist hustle & bustle.

Well positioned in the Mara game reserve the camp is nestled amongst a cool canopy of riverine trees where you can really relax and enjoy the peace & tranquility of the bush. Bateleur has over 30 years experience enabling us to provide you with that extra special experience away from the crowds.

The tents are all made to a high specification, completely water and insect proof, fully furnished and carpeted with en suite facilities for your comfort. The beds are extremely comfortable with fresh clean linen and animal print bed spreads in keeping with the wild surroundings. Table and chairs on your own verandah allow you to sit out and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

The dining area is the focal point of the camp where you can discuss your exciting events and sightings over a sumptuous 3 course dinner cooked traditionally over hot coals by an excellent chef of over twenty years service to Bateleur. You are served on linen covered tables with Bateleur’s own china ware and glass stemware. Water, tea & coffee, beer and wine are all included. Home baked bread is prepared daily so it is fresh for your breakfast everyday. Not only do you take your meals in camp but you can enjoy the thrill of picnics out in the bush.

Menus are varied and offer a range of meat and fish dishes with plenty of fresh fruit & vegetables; we can cater for special appetites on request. Awake in the morning to be served hot tea & coffee to ready you for your morning game drive and then enjoy a picnic breakfast and return to camp for a hearty lunch.

Game Drives / Transport
Our vehicles are custom built Toyota Land Cruisers fitted out with three roof hatches and plenty of window space to maximize your viewing. Vehicles are in excellent condition and driven by experienced guides ensuring you see the best the migration has to offer. Ol Kiombo airfield is 20 minutes drive from camp. Enquire
